The Department of Sino-Korean Classics was established to provide students with exposure to the rich cultural heritage of Sino-Korean classics, and to cultivate future leaders who can develop research methodologies dealing with Sino-Korean literary materials. A solid mastery of Sino-Korean classics gives students an understanding and inheritance of our cultural heritage, and makes it possible for them to contribute to the development of Korean culture. The department offers courses on Sino-Korean literature which focuses on literary prose and poetry as well as Confucian classics.
